Review of the effectiveness of participation structures and recommendations for future mechanisms to promote partnership and participation.
This review of temporary accommodation was commissioned by The Homeless Agency, the statutory body leading and co-ordinating the response to homelessness in the Greater Dublin Area. The review was to cover all forms of temporary accommodation, emergency and transitional, in the public, voluntary or private sector
Following a comprehensive progress review in 2008, the Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE) Pathway to Home model of homeless, housing and support provision was put in place in 2009. The model takes a personcentred approach. Its main aim is to simplify and speed up the journey into independent living. The Support for Living Independently (SLI) service was subsequently set up to support this aim. Dublin City Council (DCC) is the lead partner in the service and is responsible for the monitoring and delivery of the three-year contract from the Department of the Environment (DOE).
