The Dublin Region Homeless Executive is provided by Dublin City Council as the lead local authority in the response to homelessness in Dublin
and adopts a shared service approach across South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Census 2011 Special Homeless Report [Published: 2011]

3,808 people counted as homeless on the night of the Census 2011. These results are based on a targeted approach aimed at measuring the extent of homelessness in Ireland. This was the first time such a comprehensive approach to measuring homelessness was adopted as part of a Census of Population.

Young People's Homeless Pathways [Published: 2008]

This is Phase II- a qualitative longitudinal study of homeless young people in Dublin city.The research adopted a pathways approach and set out to document, record and understand temporal change in the homeless experience over time. A core aim was to generate in-depth understanding of the process of youth homelessness, with a particular focus on young people’s trajectories into, through and out of homelessness. The study also aimed to inform policyrelevant recommendations related to service provision, early intervention and the prevention of negative outcomes.

Delivering Homes, Sustaining Communities [Published: 2007]

This present policy statement - Delivering Homes, Sustaining Communities provides greater detail on the actions required if the goals in the Framework document are to be achieved. It presents a vision for the future for housing. It is a companion to the National Development Plan 2007-2013: Transforming Ireland - A Better Quality of Life for All, which provides the resources for the required investment and the National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007 - 2016 which focuses particularly on social inclusion issues.

Competency Framework [Published: ]

The Homeless Agency’s Learning and Performance (L&P) Network recommended the development of Competency Framework as part of their Strategy for 2005 -2006. It was felt that such a Framework would aid organisations in their selection, support and performance management process. The L&P Strategy stated that a Competency Framework was critical to developing a quality workforce which
could meet the needs of homeless people.
