Sonas Housing Association Ltd. provides supported accommodation to women and children made homeless because of domestic violence. They are currently recruiting for a Manager of Refuge Services to lead the establishment and ongoing management of a new refuge service for the Dublin 15 area. The service will provide crisis intervention and supported temporary accommodation to women and children out of home due to domestic violence, and will operate outreach and follow-on support services.

The Manager of Refuge Services will have responsibility for people and finance management, service development and delivery, as well as maintaining high quality standards in the service.

The ideal candidate will :

• Be educated to degree level or hold a relevant professional qualification
• Have at least three years supervisory/management experience within the
  domestic violence or housing/homelessness sector
• Have experience in the supervision of support staff/key workers
• Have an understanding of the needs and rights of homeless people and
  victims of domestic violence
• Be experienced in the development of organisational plans, funding
  applications and operational policies and procedures
• Have experience of networking, liaising, managing and enhancing
  relationships with key stakeholders
• Have highly developed written and oral communication skills, including
  significant experience in preparing reports, writing submissions/tenders,
  presenting to groups, hosting/chairing meetings
• Have a demonstrated capacity to implement equal employment opportunity policy, health and safety policy, as well as ethical and respectful practice in the
  workplace
• Computer skills with competence in using email, internet and MS Office
