Ana Liffey Drug Project and Coolmine Therapeutic Community will be holding a fundraising concert on December 15th in the Button Factory. Tickets are €20 and can be purchased at www.tickets.ie or www.ticketmaster.ie
Featured artists on the night: Paddy Casey, Mik Pyro, Eoin Dillon, Eoin Coughlan and the Sick and Indigent Song Club followed by club with live music from Ali and the DT's.
Funds raised from the concert will be used by the Ana Liffey Drug Project towards the purchase of play equipment for their new external child friendly play area in Middle Abbey Street while the Coolmine Therapeutic Community will use their funds for crèche and play facilities for the children of their clients.
The partnership between both Coolmine and Ana Liffey works on the premise that the organizations have a different role to play in supporting people who are having difficulties with drug and alcohol use. Put simply, Ana Liffey works to support people who are active in their drug use - neither promoting nor denouncing it as an activity but remaining engaged with people to reduce the harm that drug use causes, thereby creating opportunities for change. Coolmine offers a wide range of treatment and rehabilitation services predominantly focused on enabling drug free lifestyles.
