The Dublin Region Homeless Executive is provided by Dublin City Council as the lead local authority in the response to homelessness in Dublin
and adopts a shared service approach across South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Dublin City University Accredited Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Homeless Prevention and Intervention

The application process for the next Dublin City University (DCU) Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Homeless Prevention and Intervention for homeless (and other relevant sectoral) key workers/case managers, commencing in DCU in September 2017 will open on Friday, 28th April 2017 and close on Friday 9th June 2017 at 5pm.


Important: Incomplete Applications or Applications received by Admissions Registry after the closing date of 5pm on Friday 9th June 2017 will not be considered.


All applications must be made directly to Dublin City University.  Application forms are available to download from the Registry Section of the Dublin City University website at:

Health, Illness, Addiction  and Homelessness   

(Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am – 5pm)

24th and 25th September 2018
5th and 6th November 2018
10th and 11th December 2018 


Graduation March 2019

Date and time will be advised in late 2018 


Application process:

1. Download application form via the Dublin City University website
2. Complete (typed format) application in full (incomplete applications will not be processed)
3. Print completed application
4. Sign and date the printed application form and post, along with a passport photograph to:  Admissions, Registry, Dublin City University, Collins Avenue, Dublin 9. 


All Dublin Region Homeless Executive funded homeless sector organisation key workers/case managers in the Dublin region wishing to be considered for a funding contribution towards the cost of the certificate fees from the DRHE must be nominated by their organisation via the official Nomination Form and must complete the standard Consent Form. Completed HARD COPY nomination forms (accompanied by the signed HARD COPY consent form) must be forwarded to:
