A(H1N1) Swine Flu Vaccination

Nov 13, 2009

The GP’s of the Safetynet programme who have administered the flu vaccine to the homeless community for the past couple of years, will be rolling out the Swine flu vaccine A(H1N1) this year. They will be visiting all the hostels and B&B’s around the city during the month of November.

What makes this programme a success is for the staff to motivate their clients to receive the vaccine. This can be achieved by promoting the programme with the assistance of the materials which will be provided at a later date and thus help the client to feel prepared by the day of the vaccine.

Safetynet will contact all homeless services and provide them with the dates when the vaccine will be rolled out to their service. All services should contact Stephanie on 085 8344777 for further information.
